Friday and Saturday event bookings are usually at a premium price even if your group size is small. But if you love the space and you’re flexible on your event date, ask the venue about any cancellations that may be too soon to rebook for a bigger event that needs more planning time. VISITAlong the 290 wine trail, the vineyards are leafy green mid April through July. By August many places will have nets over the vines to protect the grapes from birds right before harvest, which is not as photo friendly. After harvest, the vines will be green and photogenic until they drop their leaves around November or the first frost. In the winter the vines are bare and not a good backdrop for pictures, but many couples still enjoy a Vineyard location for a micro wedding in the hill country. The winery becomes a natural choice for an anniversary wine that feels special to your story!
While there are MANY beautiful and scenic vineyards along the 290 wine trail, not many of them are open to hosting weddings and elopements because their spaces are more profitable as a public tasting room, and it’s not always easy to recruit staff to remain after hours for private events. Keep in mind their primary business priority is selling their wine, not planning weddings! Be ok with kind but minimal engagement from the vineyard managers, limited hours and available options. Some vineyards may allow private events only for Wine Club Members, so consider joining their Wine Club Membership to show your appreciation and loyalty to their wine brand.

Located on scenic hills southwest of Austin is a small and stylish mission style chapel. It’s best known for being the place for free micro weddings and elopements in the Texas Hill Country. The architecture helps the space feel ceremonious, so you won’t need any additional decorations. It comes equipped with stone benches that can comfortably seat 12 in the main chamber with additional seating on the sides for up to 30-40 people.
There are 3 rentable banquet spaces to host a private dinner reception, but it’s located close enough to end the night on the town in Austin.

There's a rentable tree house village, yall! Located in Spicewood just a 45 minute drive northwest from Austin. There's a suspension bridge platform for small ceremonies and partially covered pavilion space. For lodging there are several unique tree houses and glamping tents for overnight stays for up to 30 guests. The venue has several ceremony & celebration location options for whatever you call "small" from 4 to 125 guests. They also offer day-only events if no lodging is needed. For best photo ops considering going April-October when these beautiful trees are green and lush! Aside from the cool factor of being a tree house village, guests can enjoy lawn games like giant chess, bocce ball and cornhole, or zip line into the lake! Prices vary by event size and season.
